Shalom,

I am Esther Scharf and I am here as a educator and guide of Jewish Meditation practices, using Jewish symbols and metaphors, sacred Hebrew words and phrases, prayers, blessings, portions from the Torah, Psalms, Hebrew letters, chants and silence as vehicles to lead you into your own deeper places within.  These practices help us relate to the Divine and to ourselves with increasing love, acceptance and compassion; while helping us clear our minds, calm our emotions and relax our bodies, allowing for deep healing and comfort.

Esther Scharf, LCSW, Certified Teacher of Jewish Meditation

My mission is to educate and empower those who seek personal and spiritual growth and a deeper connection with their Divine Source, so they can know a way to have their own spiritual practice and live more fully from a holy place of love, compassion, wisdom and understanding, and an expanded awareness of their life and the lives of others.

I hope to accomplish this by providing:

  • 20 years of professional experience as a Jewish Meditation teacher and 12 years as a therapist. I have worked with people of varied ages and religious backgrounds and in different settings – many wanting to know and feel a deeper spiritual connection.

  • Direct Personal Experience:  I have suffered from depression (my own negative and limiting beliefs) and anxiety, feelings of separation and isolation, and a deep yearning to connect with something beyond myself, and know how important it is to have a daily spiritual practice and to have a variety of techniques to use for a lifetime of personal and spiritual growth.  I have been practicing daily meditation for over 30 years.

  • An historic wisdom tradition from the ancient to the modern perspective.  Beside my training as a certified Jewish Meditation teacher, I am also working with innovative techniques and practices taught to me by my teachers and my own meditation practice which comes from an evolution of my soul’s yearning for creative self and universal expression.
